Our soils are clay and limestone mainly serious kind. The red grape varieties of the property that are Merlot (majority), Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Malbec impart both raw roundness, generosity and framing. Nearly all of the production (200 000 bottles 80% red) is bottled at the Château.
We produce a range of red wines of Bordeaux Supérieur appellation under the name Castle Freyneau with various vintages: deluxe, traditional, ..
Our Bordeaux Superiors are both elegant and powerful, harmonious and balanced, where notes of ripe fruit, candied share with power and harmony after a rigorous winemaking, quality, combining tradition and new technologies (long maceration, micro bubbling, ...).
And a range of rosé wine and Bordeaux white Bordeaux as the Château La Tuilerie where we look for the fruit, the freshness with a certain roundness.
Presentation of wines:
- L'esprit de Freyneau : an adventure that began with the 2012 vintage, the idea was to create a wine that awakens the senses with its finesse, its originality, its complexity, its generosity. Happy ... wine. Only in white and rosé (the very small amount of production can not we sell on the website)
- Cuvée Prestige is exceptional both by its result as its output only in years when fruit maturity, generosity will be able to harmonize with notes of new barrel. This is an exceptional cuvée made from our oldest vines of the property and aged in new oak barrels for 16 months minimum.
- Traditional Cuvée is a selection of the best tanks, high minimum for twelve months in oak barrels, with 20% new barrels; heady wine, rich and harmonious, where the elegance of the grape tannins goes very well with wood tannins.
- Château Freyneau is a fruity red wine, pleasant where the dominant Merlot gives it a nice roundness.
- Château La Tuilerie Blanc is a Sauvignon assembly, and Muscadelle Semilion with aging on lees which delivered us a very aromatic white wine and bold.
- Château La Tuilerie Rosé is a very fruity wine with a fine in the mouth that can be drunk throughout the year.
